After Darren Berrecloth sent us his document about his experience in Kenya at the Urge Kenya function there were some issues about what bicycle he was riding. I fired him an electronic mail and he sent back again some pics of the bicycle as clearly as a couple of his other new toys. I imagined I'd share them. 1st things initial. As element of the occasion in Kenya riders had to have their bikes all the way to the top of Mount Kenya which tops out at 4850 metres. For that cause alone it manufactured impression to carry a pleasant light bicycle – but a person that would be able on the downhill. Darren arrived at for a carbon Specialized Enduro outfitted with his sponsors' gear. Up front the Claw strapped on a Fox 36 Talas whilst an RP 23 – also from Fox – sprung the rear end. Crankbrothers' Mallet pedals stored him and the bike from becoming disengaged. For tires he selected the Specialized Chunder A single Ply up front and a Just one Ply xc in the rear. A Shimano XT Shadow took treatment of shifting responsibilities while Shimano Saint disc brakes stored velocity less than command on the African descent. Mavic Crossmax SX wheels held elements rolling. Speaking of sleds – here is the Claw's brand name new entire customized sled. A single of Darren's buddies is embarking on a custom sled setting up organization and this is his 3rd make. Here's what Darren had to say about it: "The matter is a dream super robust and light-weight and the pattern as a full is ridiculous.".
