After Darren Berrecloth sent us his short article about his practical knowledge in Kenya at the Urge Kenya function there ended up some inquiries about what bike he was riding. I fired him an e-mail and he sent back some pictures of the bike as effectively as a couple of his other new toys. I assumed I'd share them. Initial issues very first. As piece of the function in Kenya riders had to carry their bikes all the way to the top of Mount Kenya which tops out at 4850 metres. For that purpose by yourself it built sense to deliver a pleasant light bike – but just one that would be able on the downhill. Darren achieved for a carbon Specialized Enduro outfitted with his sponsors' gear. Up front the Claw strapped on a Fox 36 Talas although an RP 23 – also from Fox – sprung the rear finish. Crankbrothers' Mallet pedals held him and the bike from turning into disengaged. For tires he chose the Specialized Chunder 1 Ply up front and a One Ply xc in the rear. A Shimano XT Shadow took care of shifting obligations whereas Shimano Saint disc brakes kept pace less than regulate on the African descent. Mavic Crossmax SX wheels kept important things rolling. Talking of sleds – here's the Claw's brand name new complete custom made sled. A single of Darren's close friends is embarking upon a custom made sled creating home business and this is his 3rd put together. Here's what Darren had to say about it: "The point is a dream super strong and lightweight and the style as a complete is ridiculous.".
